Feedback from a Panel Speaking Event on Inclusion. I have never met someone so passionate about fighting for equality for all. Mary has made me believe that it’s a fight we all need to join. Her subtle teachings on simple changes to language or perspective are delivered in a manner that makes it make perfect sense. I recently attended an event where Mary spoke. She was truly engaging, and people queued to speak to her after the event. She used the right balance of personal experience, acquired knowledge, empathy and humour. Her answers to questions were insightful and helpful. I have looked to Mary for advice and confidence on several occasions. Each time her advice has been sound. She has a way of giving people confidence to speak up, but without feeling she’s pushed her words or opinions on you. I am so grateful that we have Mary fighting for the rights of disabled people.
